What We Learned this Week: Bible : We learned about how David continuously spared Saul's life. We talked about if Saul was truly sorry for trying to take David's life, and we concluded that he was not. We also talked about the lessons that David learned from God during the time that he was fleeing from Saul. Math : This week, the students learned the digit by digit method of division. It might be a wise idea for them to practice a bit of their division facts over the break. Reading : The students practiced finding main ideas in sections of their non-fiction books and considering what it teaches them. I highly encourage the students to read for fun over the break. What We Learned this Week: Math:  We have started unit 3! This unit is all about division. We kicked off the unit by learning about the parts of a division problem and then we jumped right into completing basic division problems with remainders! I am including a worksheet here for your student to practice. If they complete it and turn it in, I can definitely look it over for them. The more practice, the better! Reading:  We have finished unit 2 and are looking forward to starting our brand-new unit next week! This unit is all about informational text which is part of the non-fiction genre. I talked to the students and encouraged them to start reading non-fiction books at home. I have also been encouraging them to find non-fiction books at the library during our Friday library times.  Click  here   for next week's spelling lists. Please consider  signing up  to help out with our classroom Christmas party on Thursday, December 21. I have two more slots ...
