Happy Snow Day! Have a very happy snow day, everyone! I pray that this may be a fun and relaxing day for us all. Stay warm! Make some delicious hot chocolate and play in the snow. See you all on Monday! What We Learned this Week Bible : This week, we are studying how Saul become king. God made it very clear to Saul that he was meant to be king, and Saul heeded him. It makes me wonder and think about ourselves. We finished "The Tiger Rising" and spent some time this week to talk about major themes and the symbolism found in this book. On Tuesday, November 22, the students will b...

What We Learned this Week Bible: We just finished up our unit on Samuel this week. The students took the test on Thursday.  Math: This week, the students learned the shortcut method of multiplication with two and three digit numbers. The students also practiced reading word problems and identifying unnecessary information in addition to identifying word problems with not enough information.  Reading: The students have been focusing on the actions of the characters in the books they are reading in order to help them to better understand the type of people they are. I wonder how we as Christians can and should be vigilant of our own actions? Will other people observing our actions know we are in relationship with God based upon our very own actions? Writing: The students are nearly finished with their realistic fiction stories. Please be checking your emails this weekend. I will be sending a rubric I completed with each child. It is meant to give an update on how...
