Welcome to 4th Grade Spanish Immersion!

Hola, parents and students! My name is Hannah Damsteegt, and I am your child's 4th grade Spanish Immersion teacher. I pray that you all had a wonderful summer break and are ready for a fun and exciting school year.

I graduated from Calvin University in 2015 with a degree in Secondary K-12 Spanish Education. From 2016 to 2022, I worked in Tegucigalpa, Honduras as a 3rd grade English Immersion teacher. This is now my second year at Rose Park, and I am blessed to be here.

I am excited to get to know your child and (you too, parents!) through-out the year and help them succeed in their education and participation during their school day.

The ice cream social is scheduled for Thursday, August 17 from 6 PM to 7 PM. Please come if you are able to! It will be a time to fellowship over ice cream as the kiddos meet me, see their classroom, and play with their fellow students. If you'd like to bring the students' batons and school supplies, I will have labeled crates where you can put them. Please put your student's school supplies in a Ziploc bag labeled with their names. The class schedule and welcoming information will be available as a hard copy in the classroom, too.

If you are unable to attend, no worries. I am including the class schedule and welcoming information to this post. Please free to reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns.

Looking forward to meeting you and cultivating a wonderful, successful year.

In Christ,

Maestra Hannah Damsteegt
