What We Have Learned this Week: Bible:  The students their chapter 7 test over King Saul and his reign. We look forward to studying David's reign in chapter 8.  Math:  We have been studying how to complete long division using three different methods: place value sections method, expanded notation method, and the traditional method.  Spelling:   Here is next week's spelling list! Restaurant Field Trip: The restaurant field trip was a wonderful success! I am so proud of the students. They demonstrated patience and Christ-like love as they witnessed to the restaurant owner and staff members. I heard excellent comments about their good behavior and Spanish abilities. What We Have Learned this Week: Bible:  We have finished up our study on King Saul and his reign, and the test is scheduled for the 26th of November. The students already have their physical copies of the study guide. I am including the English study guide  here  so you can support your student's studying.  I am also including links to Blooket games the students can use to review at home. We are learning how to use the box method to divide. This strategy is similar to another box method we used when we multiplied. What We Learned this Week: Bible:  We have been reading about how Saul, fueled by jealousy, had been continuously chasing David through-out the wilderness. We have seen David on many occasions show mercy unto King Saul since he was "God's anointed one." The test is going to be pushed back to either the 25th or the 26th of November. What We Learned this Week: Bible:  This week, we have learning about Saul's jealousy of David. We have been talking about how God has been preparing David for becoming king of Israel- successful in battles, popular and loved by the Israelites, filled with God's presence. The students will be taking the chapter test around the 21st. It could be a day or two afterwards. I am sending the Spanish study guides home with the students on Monday, November 11.
