Week of November 11 to 15
What We Learned this Week:
Bible: We have been reading about how Saul, fueled by jealousy, had been continuously chasing David through-out the wilderness. We have seen David on many occasions show mercy unto King Saul since he was "God's anointed one." The test is going to be pushed back to either the 25th or the 26th of November. The students already have their physical copies of the study guide.
Math: We have made it to the end of chapter 2. The students practiced for their test and will finish their actual tests on Monday before diving into chapter 3- division!
Writing: We have started our new unit on persuasive writing. We have spent this first week examining a persuasive essay and its parts. The students even tried their hand at coming up with good reasons and examples for a persuasive topic.
Spelling: Here is next week's spelling list!
Hola 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade parents!
I am so excited to share with you about an upcoming Spanish Immersion field trip. On Monday, November 25, the students and their teachers are headed to Yureika’s Delicias Catrachas in order to meet the owners and hear about how they have seen God working in their lives. We will be eating lunch there, as well- authentic, Honduran food. ¡Qué rico! There is no need to send money with your child to school on that day. The school will cover the food cost.
The teachers are requesting parent chaperones. If you would like to join us, please check out this SignUpGenius for more information.
If you have any questions, you can contact Hannah Damsteegt via email at <<hdamsteegt@hollandchristian.org>>.
Gracias!
