Week of May 27 to 30
What We Learned this Week: Bible: This week, we studied the message of Isaiah to God's people. Isaiah told the people about the joy and happiness of serving God. Even though punishment was imminent, God was not finished with His people. We also talked about how part of Isaiah's message talks about the coming Messiah- which is what we celebrate at Christmas. Isaiah's prophecies were fulfilled by Jesus. Math: This week, we learned how to classify triangles based upon their angles (right triangle, obtuse triangle, acute triangle). We also learned how to classify triangles based upon their sides (equilateral, scalene, isosceles). We learned how to add and subtract angle measurements to form a new angle, and we even applied that new knowledge to real world problems. We ended the week by learning how to classify lines as parallel or perpendicular. Writing: The students worked on their "Faith Writing" project this week.
